Organizers for the "Fallen Heroes Memorial Ride" on Saturday, September 11, invited Schenk Photography to participate in the inaugural event held at Charlie Daniels Park in Mt. Juliet. Riders from all across Middle Tennessee turned out with their chrome polished and flags ready to honor America's fallen heroes, as well as remember two of their own, Jerry Mundy and John Musice. Proceeds from this event went to benefit the families of the two fallen officers, as well as several Mt. Juliet families dealing with the painful reality serious illness and overwhelming medical expenses.
In honor of the September 11th tribute, Schenk Photography chose a regal 8x12' American flag as the backdrop for some very beautiful bikes. With painstaking detail, the Fallen Heroes logo on the t-shirts was recreated on the printed image. No doubt, recipients of this commemorative photo will cherish it, as an elite group that have the 1st in a series of annual Fallen Hero Schenk Photography photos.
It was a perfect day for riders to enjoy a police escorted ride through several cities of Middle Tennessee. Back at Charlie Daniels Park, live music and good food filled the afternoon. On such an emotion filled day, friends and families came together to realize that fallen heroes have many faces - from a decorated officer, to an innocent child.
